IPFire 2.11 - Core Update 58 released

It is time for the next maintainance update of the IPFire series 2 which is called Core Update 58. This update comes with cryptodev, a bunch of security fixes and minor bugfixes.

Samba Addon - Important security update (CVE-2012-1182)

The samba development team has released an important security update.

It is possible to compromise the server remotely and gain root rights.

If you use the samba addon on your IPFire installation, please update to the new release as soon as possible. Version 3.5.14-39 is available via pakfire.

Today, we are releasing Core Update 57 for IPFire 2.11. It is again a minor bugfix and security update.

Software updates

These components have been updated to address various security issues or potential DDoS attacks:

  • php: security update to 5.3.10
  • apache: security update to 2.2.22
  • squid: update to 3.19

IPFire 2.11 - Core Update 56 released

Today, we are releasing Core Update 56 for IPFire 2.11. It is a minor bugfix and security update.

The most exciting new feature can be found in the preinstalled images, that automatically scale up the partitions at the first boot. If you use a 8GB SD card, you install the 2GB image and it will grow the partition sizes to use all space that is available on that SD card.
